SFC has been engaging in R&D on fundamental materials since 2014, after establishing a strategy and
vision based on thorough analysis and cool-headed perception of the reality. Our achievements have been adopted
in several mass-produced molecular diagnostics kits such as COVID-19 PCR kits so that we earned a market recognition
and consolidating its position as a key driver for the continuing growth of SFC.
SFC will do its best to be positioned as a global player, beyond the first in Korea, by continuously bolstering
the capability for R&D and manufacturing, as well as enhancing network with many partners from more diverse fields
including diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries.

Our achievements have been adopted in several mass-produced molecular diagnostics kits such as COVID-19 PCR kits so that we earned a market recognition and consolidating its position as a key driver for the continuing growth of SFC. Based on our accumulated expertise from the OLED business, the fluorescent reporters and quenchers developed through around 5 years of R&D efforts have been adopted in more than 10 different COVID-19 diagnostics kits, securing a firm position and reputation about the differentiated technologies. Accordingly, SFC could make a significant contribution to improving the performance of the domestic diagnostics kits, and eventually strengthening the global competitiveness of Korea in that field.
We believe it is a meaningful step considering that Korea had been completely dependent on limited number of global players.
SFC will increasingly strengthen its capabilities and concentrate on developing innovative materials for bio-industry without losing a focus on ‘improving the value of life’.
